Mainly, Giraffes are browsers, they eat the leaves of bushes and, especially, trees. In the wild their primary foods are the leaves and twigs of acacia , mimosa, and wild apricot trees.

  •  A giraffe can clean off any bugs that appear on its face with its extremely long tongue that is about 18 inches/45 centimeter.
  • They eat plants that are fairly tall and easily reached. Giraffes do, eat some grass as well. 
  •  Their water requirements are similar to those of a camel. 
  • They can last a while with out water.
  • They mostly eat trees because they are so tall that they are able to reach them.
