Here is a map of Central Africa where Giraffes are mostly found.

 Habitat Fun Facts

  • Giraffe habitat consists mainly of dry and open woodland.
  • Grasslands with low vegetation are not good for giraffes because it's hard for them to reach down far enough to eat off the ground.
  •  Giraffes gather around rivers and waterholes during the dry season, but move into open, woodlands during the rains.

Giraffes live in only one continent Africa. They are found between the countries of  Central Africa and South Africa. They live in savannas, grassland or open woodland. They like to ponder through both forests and open plains. They can also be found in zoos all over the world, even in the U.S.

As you can see here giraffes mostly live in desert like areas that also have many trees.
